about

My name is Isaac Knopf.

I'm a narrative and documentary filmmaker from Kansas City.

I use filmmaking as a tool to tell stories that would otherwise go untold. In 2017, I explored the psychological intricacies of trichotillomania ("Trich," narrative short); examined family-centered addiction treatment ("Bring Them All," documentary short); and reflected on the connection between past and present, childhood and adolescence  ("Dial Tone," experimental short).

My most recent film, “Driving Louise,” is on the festival circuit. Next screening: East Village Queer Film Festival, August 28. Tickets available here.
