The beginning of the end of the end of the beginning has begun.
— Wes Anderson, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL

My name is Isaac Knopf—and for me, the beginning of my life as a filmmaker began when I was just a child.

On Christmas several years ago, my parents (Santa, I mean) got me a basic camcorder. It wasn't high quality by today's standards, but it was all I needed at the time: a lens through which I could tell stories. I made satirical commercials, "horror" films , and a spoof series of Man vs. Wild called Child vs. Wild, in which I journeyed to Peru (my backyard in the summer), Russia (my backyard in the winter), and suburban America (my neighborhood), teaching my audience survival tips along the way.

In seventh grade, I enrolled in middle school broadcasting, and I continued with the program through junior high and high school. By senior year, I became Executive Producer for my school district's broadcasting program, KLPS-TV.

Knowing that I wanted to continue pursuing my passion for film and video production, I came to Webster University last year. I'm majoring in Film, Television, and Video Production as well as taking courses in photography.

WHAT DO I DO?

Great question. While my focus is certainly in video and film production, I have substantial experience in still photography, too.
